Fishing - Vogel State Parks

Visitors wishing to visit Lake Trahlyta to fish can park in the lot located at 405 Vogel State Park Road. Fish in the lake include largemouth bass, trout, bluegill/bream and catfish. Fishing in the stream through the park is permitted with a trout stamp. Visitors must provide their own fishing equipment. There is bait and live worms available for purchase in the visitor’s center.

A $5 parking fee is required.

The lake has an ADA fishing pier. Fishing off of the lake pavilion is permitted when there are no reservations. For more information regarding popular fishing spots, visit the visitor’s center.

Guests 16 or older must possess a Georgia fishing license and abide by all Georgia fishing laws regarding size and quantity of fish kept. There is a Georgia DNR hunting/fishing license kiosk available in the visitor’s center. Non-motorized boats are allowed. Boaters must follow Georgia Boating Regulations regarding lifejackets/PDFs.
