Enjoy a canoe trip on the Altamaha River. Guides will take visitors through the Barrington Lake region and provide natural and historical interpretation of this historic region. Guests will enjoy century-old Tupelo swamps, ancient sand dunes with high bluffs overlooking the river, and excellent swimming opportunities. Canoes, paddles, and life jackets will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring snacks, sunscreen, and bug spray. The trip will last around 4 hours. Reservations are required. $35/person. 912-437-4770.
