Celebrate with fun contests and great food. The event begins at 9:30 with an opening ceremony and the National Anthem, followed by contests such as hula hoops, bubble gum blowing and seed spitting. Noon lunch includes BBQ, slaw, baked beans and drinks. Visitors are asked to bring dessert, a side dish or chips. Donations appreciated. $5 parking. 706-746-2141.
