Dear Educator:

Fort McAllister wants your students’ experience to be as beneficial as possible. This means each visitor has a fun time but also leaves with a sense of the historical significance of this site to our region, as well as our nation.

This educational handbook includes information in the preparation of your visit to be used in your classroom, activities to conduct while on site and follow-up activities and evaluation. We would encourage you to use all aspects of the program to maximize your visit to Fort McAllister. Please feel free to copy any portion of this handbook for use in the classroom.

Sincerely,
