Located near the beautiful Okefenokee Swamp and Suwannee River, the Eco-lodge is surrounded by exceptional outdoor recreation. The 9-hole Fargo Golf Course is just across the road. An on-site catfish pond is popular with anglers and a fishing license is required. While boat rental is not available at the Eco-lodge, local outfitters can provide kayak/canoe rental. The gently flowing Suwannee River, with its tea-colored water and enormous tree trunks, is just a short drive away and may be accessed at the Suwannee River Visitor Center’s boat ramp. Entry to the famed Okefenokee Swamp—known for alligators, fishing, birding and astronomy—is 18 miles away at Stephen C. Foster State Park. Guided pontoon boat tours and boat rentals are available at the park when water levels are high enough.
